Car Crash Near Langenzenn Leaves Three Individuals Hurt (Pol-MFR: 809)
On August 12, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on the B8 near Langenzenn, district of Fürth. According to the police, the incident involved a truck colliding with two stationary small trucks.
The accident occurred shortly after a small truck had broken down on the right side of the two-lane road. For unknown reasons, a truck then collided with the two stationary trucks.
The collision caused significant damage to the vehicles involved, estimated at several tens of thousands of euros. The truck driver, aged 61, and the driver of the broken-down truck, aged 27, also sustained injuries and were taken to hospitals for medical treatment. The 30-year-old truck driver, who stopped his vehicle behind the broken-down truck to provide assistance, suffered severe injuries and was taken to a hospital by a rescue helicopter.
Firefighters from nearby stations assisted with traffic diversion, and the affected section of the B8 was closed for the duration of the accident investigation and subsequent towing of the vehicles. The site was cleared around 13:30.
The police from Fürth's traffic department are investigating the accident, and an accident reconstruction expert has been called in at the request of the public prosecutor's office.
