Car Crash on Eisberger Road: Vehicle Flips Over
In the Lohfeld district of Porta Westfalica, a car accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, involving a 40-year-old local man. The incident took place around 3 p.m. on Eisberger Straße, heading towards Eisbergen.
The man was driving a Volkswagen Tiguan when, while exiting a left curve, he veered off the road to the right onto the grass strip. Despite his initial attempts to steer the car back onto the road, he eventually lost control, and the vehicle overturned, coming to rest on its roof.
Fortunately, the driver sustained only minor injuries and was treated at the scene before being released. However, the estimated damage to the car is around 40,000 euros, with the vehicle likely being a total loss. The car had to be towed away from the accident site.
At the time of reporting, there is no information available regarding any suspicion of the driver being under the influence of alcohol during the accident. A blood sample was ordered as part of the investigation, but the results are yet to be disclosed.
The driver's license was confiscated during the investigation, and the accident resulted in damage to several bushes.
