Car Database (DB) to Showcase at IAA Mobility Expo's Open-Air Exhibition Area
Deutsche Bahn (DB) is set to present a series of exhibits at the IAA Mobility Expo in Munich from 9-14 September, showcasing the future of public transport with their Zukunft Nahverkehr (ZNV) initiative.
The ZNV Experience World, located in the Open Space exhibition zone in Munich's city centre, will offer visitors a chance to interact with displays showcasing future public transport options. Among these exhibits will be a walk-through model of the new XXL S-Bahn for Munich, displayed at a 1:1 scale, allowing visitors to climb inside and experience the vehicle's design and interior.
The Free State of Bavaria and Siemens, along with the Munich S-Bahn, are also participating in the presentation of the new XXL S-Bahn at the ZNV site. The first vehicles of the new XXL S-Bahn are scheduled to be in service by the end of 2028.
In addition to the exhibits, DB will demonstrate autonomous on-demand shuttles as part of their ZNV initiative. The Future Mobility Simulator at the ZNV Experience World aims to demonstrate how cities could look if designed with public transport in mind.
The ZNV site will open at 11:00 on 9 September and remain open until 14 September from 11:00 to 21:00. The stage programme and panel discussions at the ZNV site will be free of charge, with some discussions available online.
A discussion between Andreas Rade, Managing Director of the Association of German Automotive Industry (VDA), and Jan Schilling, Member of the Board of Marketing at DB Regio, will take place at the event. However, there is no information available about Mr. Rade's participation in a panel discussion at the site of the ZNV experience world in Munich.
The letters Ö, P, N, and V will be displayed on Königsplatz square as part of the ZNV initiative. The exhibits will be free and open to the general public.
The IAA Mobility Expo in Munich will continue to allow visitors to interact with displays showcasing future public transport options until 14 September. Don't miss this opportunity to witness the future of transportation!
