Car meets devastating accident on Nossa Senhora do Carmo Avenue; fatality reported following the collision
In the evening of Sunday, 7th September, a tragic incident occurred on Avenida Nossa Senhora do Carmo in Belo Horizonte. At approximately 10:45 PM, a serious accident involving a black Chevrolet Onix took place at the intersection with Rua Rio Verde.
According to reports, the vehicle was traveling at high speed when the driver lost control, resulting in a collision with traffic lights and signals. The impact caused a fire, leading the Fire Department to be called to the scene.
Three individuals were in the vehicle at the time of the accident: a 36-year-old man, a 26-year-old driver, and a 22-year-old woman. Tragically, the woman succumbed to an electric shock due to loose wires, while the driver and the remaining passenger were removed from the car unconscious.
The passenger, who was the only conscious occupant, informed the Military Police that the trio was returning from an event when the accident occurred.
At the moment, there is no publicly available information about the driver involved in the accident. The incident is currently under investigation, and further details are expected to be released as the investigation progresses.
