A multi-vehicle accident occurred on Monday, 01.09.2025, on the A1 highway near Delmenhorst in the rural area of Wesermarsh.

The incident involved a Mercedes and a Chrysler. According to police reports, the crash that caused the Chrysler vehicle to catch fire was the result of a 47-year-old woman from Lingen driving a Mercedes who ignored the following 44-year-old Chrysler driver from Damme during an overtaking maneuver. The 47-year-old woman, her passenger, the 44-year-old man, and his 17-year-old passenger were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance. All parties involved sustained minor injuries.
