Celebrating the Generous Contributors of the Friends' Circle
In the heart of Bavaria, the University of Applied Sciences Landshut (Hochschule Landshut) recently held its annual event, attracting a diverse crowd of attendees, donors, journalists, and renowned personalities. The evening served not only as a networking opportunity but also as a platform for lively discussions about the university's future and its potential.
At the event's conclusion, Ludwig Zellner, chairman of the Friends of the University, honoured a significant number of institutions and companies for their generous support. This year, the total sum of donations collected for Hochschule Landshut amounts to 7600 euros.
Among the honourees were Attenkofer'sche Buch- und Kunstdruckerei Verlagsbuchhandlung Straubing KG, Bayernwerk Netz GmbH, ebm-papst Landshut GmbH, ERLUS AG, Flottweg SE, HA-BE Gehäusebau GmbH, Handwerkskammer Niederbayern-Oberpfalz, Industrie- und Handelskammer für Bayern, Landratsamt Landshut, Leipfinger-Bader GmbH, SEHLHOFF GmbH, Stadt Landshut, Stadt Passau, Stadt Straubing, and VR-Bank Landshut eG. The cities of Landshut, Passau, and Straubing also made generous contributions.
The Friends of the University association, with over 200 members, provides substantial financial opportunities to support the university. The donations from the association are passed on to the University of Applied Sciences, enabling investments not possible with public funds from the Free State of Bavaria. Special investments for the University are made possible thanks to the Friends of the University and its donors.
Prof. Dr. Fritz Pörnbacher, president of Hochschule Landshut, attended the event to express thanks to all donors of the year and provided an overview of the latest developments at the university. He emphasized the importance of the Friends of the University in ensuring the university remains innovative, practical, and future-oriented.
The association serves as a network connecting key figures in the institution with important societal actors, fostering synergies and bolstering both education and the regional economy. The supporters of the Friends of the University are renowned contributors to the Lower Bavarian economy and civil society.
As the event concluded, Ludwig Zellner expressed his gratitude to the donors, acknowledging their crucial role in the university's success.
