Celebrating Variety and Consensus

Last Saturday, the Integration Cup 2025 took place in the city of Euskirchen, transforming into a vibrant festival of encounters. The event, more than just a football tournament, was a living symbol of unity, diversity, and lived integration in the city.

The gift bags filled with thoughtful gifts were generously sponsored by Vogelsang IP, dm-drogerie markt, Procter & Gamble Manufacturing, Kreissparkasse Euskirchen, Volksbank Euskirchen, and EUGEBAU. These gift bags were presented to all participating teams as a recognition for their efforts.

The Integration Cup 2025 attracted fifteen teams from various clubs, authorities, institutions, and initiatives. The matches, each lasting 10 minutes, were characterized as fair, friendly, and driven by a healthy ambition. An exciting final was played, and the enthusiasm for the tournament was palpable both on and off the field.

Salih Yavuz, the chairman of the Integration Council, welcomed the participants and led the tournament proceedings. In his opening remarks, he emphasized that the Integration Cup serves as a sign for openness, respect, and togetherness - not just on the field, but also in the city of Euskirchen.

Mayor Sasha Reichelt opened the event, reiterating the integrative power of sports. Adults at the event enjoyed diverse culinary offerings and an open community feeling, while children participated in activities such as a bouncy castle, face painting, and the popular Karlo-Klötzchen.

Numerous additional activities were offered at the Integration Cup 2025, including a fringe program. The youngest guests also received lovingly prepared surprises, sponsored by the Volksbank Euskirchen and the EUGEBAU.
