Celebrations and goodbyes at the local town meeting hall
Our city blog, a service of our city marketing, has been providing news from our city, the district of Kassel, and the North Hesse region. In a recent event held at the Stadthallenrestaurant "Zur Linde" in June, the blog honoured several long-serving employees for their dedication and service.
The event was attended by Mayor Henry Richter, First Deputy Mayor Daniel Jung, and Personnel Council representative Ricky Rudolph, who expressed gratitude and appreciation for the decades of service. The atmosphere was cozy, with a delicious buffet and pleasant conversations.
Helge Siebert, Municipal data protection officer, received a 40-year service jubilee, and was joined by Peter Petrov, Lifeguard and supervisor at AquaPark, who is retiring as of 01.01.2021. Mr. Petrov was bid farewell, along with Jörg Bernhardt, Plumber at Stadtwerke, and Peter Derksen, Electrician at Stadtwerke, both retiring as of 01.01.2021, assigned to FB Building and Environment.

Other employees honoured for their 25-year service included Eva Weszka, Michaela Ringsleben, Iris Del Colle, Oksana Fischer, Ute Spohr, and Frank Wollrath. Michaela Ringsleben, Caretaker at GH Rengershausen, and Irma Junkert, Cleaning staff, also retired and were thanked for their good past and future cooperation.
No specific information was found about employees who left the city in June 2021 or about the exact starting dates of Peter Derksen and Jörg Bernhardt in their new jobs at the Stadtwerke.
