Celebratory Evening of August 23rd, Exuberant, Innovative, Pioneering
The Magdeburg Zoo is set to host an unforgettable night of music, dance, and illuminated atmosphere on August 23, 2025, during the Zoonight event. This unique experience promises a diverse lineup of performances that will captivate audiences of all ages.
The evening will feature a variety of live bands, including the Carmen Hey Trio, who will perform their album "Flair de Paris". This trio brings a delightful blend of accordion, French melodies, and swinging rhythms, inspired by the legendary Django Reinhardt.
For those seeking a more tranquil ambiance, KlangArt-Berlin offers soundscapes and sound collages using Handpan, guitar, accordion, and ethnic flute. Their music is known for its calmness, peace, and joy of life.
NIGHTFEVER, a popular party band, guarantees a lively mix of modern hits and disco classics, ensuring a memorable evening. Sandwiched between these performances are the energetic shows of Hochkant (WalkingAct), known for their fantasy figures, humour, and ability to inspire and make people laugh.
In addition to these acts, the Zoonight program includes Sandy & Zigge, full-blooded musicians from the Altmark, providing handmade acoustic pop with a wide range of influences. The program also features public feedings of animals, such as Rothschild Giraffe, Rothund, Elephant, Rhino, Spectacled Penguin, and Red Panda.
Other performers include Captain of the Caribbean, Stilt-walking Chameleons, Vilando Dance Crew, and the ASB Magdeburg with its dog unit. The event will also showcase a unique musical show called 'BEST OF MUSICALS' on the main stage.

Prices vary, with adults paying 34,00 €, reduced prices for students, seniors, disabled persons, and social pass holders, and free admission for children up to and including 12 years old.
Annual pass holders receive a discounted ticket price of 25,00 €. As the sun sets, the zoo transforms into an illuminated park landscape with light installations, adding an extra layer of magic to this extraordinary event.
