Celebratory events for the 40th anniversary of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid will take place in September
The Spanish capital is gearing up for an exciting fashion extravaganza as the Madrid Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week prepares to celebrate its 82nd edition and 40th anniversary. This highly-anticipated event, scheduled for September 17-21, 2023, promises to showcase the best of Spanish fashion, both established and emerging designers.
International Flair with Silvia Tcherassi
The event will kick off with a special international touch as Colombian designer, Silvia Tcherassi, takes the runway on September 15. This marks the first time an international designer has been invited to the event, adding a global perspective to the Spanish fashion scene.

Asier Labarga, a long-standing executive at Ifema Madrid, has been leading the fashion event since April 2023. Labarga aims to make the event an excellence creative showcase and a growth engine for the Spanish fashion industry. Pavilion 14.1 at Ifema Madrid
The main event will take place at the Ifema Madrid exhibition center, specifically in pavilion 14.1. The general program of the event will open on Thursday, September 18, with Agatha Ruiz de la Prada. Other designers participating in the event include Flabelus, Lola Casademunt, and returning favourites such as Palomo, Pedro del Hierro, Adolfo Domínguez, and Simorra.
Off-Site Shows and Collaborations
In addition to the main event, the OFF format show will take place in various locations in the city, starting on September 17. The event will also collaborate with the University of Design, Innovation, and Technology, hosting an additional show on September 15 in a city location outside of Ifema Madrid.
Enhancing Talent and Internationalization
Valentina Suárez-Zuloaga, the Creative Director of Madrid's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and co-founder of the platform Es Fascinante, assumed her role before the 40th edition of the fashion week, which took place from September 17 to 21, 2025. Suárez-Zuloaga was hired with the aim of enhancing the talent and internationalization of the event.
Labarga's goal is to boost the platform to reposition it in the international circuit, with a continuous focus on agility and adaptation to the challenges of the fashion industry and, in particular, to the design of authors.

The event will conclude on Sunday, September 21, with designers Guillermo Decimo and Ales Hnatek. The runway will begin with a show by Silvia Tcherassi and conclude with Simorra, offering a diverse and captivating lineup for fashion enthusiasts.
