New National Children's Hospital and Central Maternity Hospital Facilities Ready in Hanoi

The new facilities for the National Children's Hospital and the Central Maternity Hospital, located in Kieu Phu commune, Hanoi, are set to inaugurate on August 19. These state-of-the-art hospitals, covering nearly 60,000 square metres combined, represent significant investments of over VND1.8 trillion ($76 million).

The National Children's Hospital facility, with an investment of over VND880 billion ($35.2 million), boasts advanced diagnostic, emergency care, and operating theatre systems. It offers 300 beds and has a fully equipped outpatient department with a reception area, examination rooms, and a well-prepared emergency unit. Essential medicines and medical supplies have been stocked and stored in accordance with regulations.

The second facility of the Central Maternity Hospital, costing approximately VND950 billion ($38 million), will provide 300 inpatient beds and accommodate around 1,000 examinations daily.

The signing ceremony for the development of these facilities marked the first milestone in preparation for the launch of McCrae Hospitals in Vietnam. McCrae Hospitals, in collaboration with Orion Health, have expanded their presence in Vietnam through key partnerships. Orion Health's ongoing commitment to the region was highlighted in the ceremony.

The Hoan My Medical Group, a leading private healthcare network in Vietnam, has also been part of this expansion. Six hospitals in the Hoan My Medical Group were certified by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International on January 15. The group's commitment to quality healthcare was further underscored when the Hoan My Medical Group was granted international certification by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International.

In addition, Hanoi plans to deploy electronic medical records at all local hospitals by September, following the announcement made on May 20. This move is expected to improve the efficiency and quality of healthcare services in the city.

The new facilities have undergone rigorous testing to ensure they meet the Ministry of Health's technical and safety standards. With these new hospitals, Hanoi residents will have access to world-class healthcare services.
