Centenarian commemorates his milestone birthday with a thrilling skydiving adventure.
Centenarian World War II Veteran Jimmy Hernandez Celebrates Birthday with Epic Skydive in Davis, California
Jimmy Hernandez, a 100-year-old U.S. Navy veteran, celebrated his birthday in a truly extraordinary way – by going skydiving. The event, held in Davis, California, was a spectacle that drew family, friends, and even former neighbours from out of town.
Hernandez, who is a father to 12 children and has more than 120 descendants, was described by his former neighbour, Collin Anderson, as energetic and unstoppable. Anderson also speculated that the thrill-seeking adventure of skydiving might become a new hobby for the centenarian.
The skydive was a relief for Hernandez, who expressed that he wasn't scared but was glad it's over. His 91-year-old wife, Dora, had a front-row seat to the exhilarating experience.
During the skydive, Hernandez took in the scenic view of the lakes, a sight he doesn't get to see often. Three generations of the Hernandez family participated in the skydive, with Jimmy, their son, and grandson all taking the leap of faith together.
Family and friends gathered to watch the historic moment, with Collin Anderson among them. Anderson shared that Jimmy had been talking about skydiving for years.
In an interview, Hernandez attributed his longevity to daily tequila consumption, but was not allowed to have one before the skydive. Despite his age, Hernandez stated, "I know that I'm 100 but I don't feel that way."
Unfortunately, there is no available information about the 12 children of Jimmy Hernandez. However, this incredible birthday celebration served as a testament to the indomitable spirit of this remarkable man.
