CEO Andrew Webley reviews SWC's expansion and strategic actions
The Smarter Web Company (SWC) is making waves in the Bitcoin world, with a series of significant moves and strategic partnerships.
CEO Andrew Webley has been meeting key figures in the Bitcoin ecosystem, including creators and educators, indicative of an increasing interest in Bitcoin Treasury companies. This trend is further reflected in the growth of SWC's community, which now boasts over 4,200 members, securing its position as the third-largest Bitcoin Treasury community globally.
In terms of personnel changes, SWC has appointed Lily Howard as its new Marketing Director and Albert Soleiman as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Soleiman, who previously served as CFO at CMC Markets, a company listed on the FTSE 250, brings a wealth of financial expertise to the table. Mario Visconti continues his role as Projects Director, having been replaced as CFO.
SWC's media presence has also seen a boost, with successful meetings held with journalists throughout the week. Webley has also mentioned video collaborations with RoxomTV and Professor B21.
On the partnership front, SWC has appointed Strand Hanson as its Corporate Advisor on AQUIS. This follows several months of discussions to ensure strategic alignment. Strand Hanson Limited was previously the Corporate Adviser for The Smarter Web Company on the AQUIS Stock Exchange, replacing Peterhouse Capital.
Looking ahead, SWC will participate in sector events in London, including The Digital Commonwealth conference at Mansion House and The Feast + Bitcoin gathering in Stroud. The company will also be part of the Bitcoin Unconference in New York. A podcast recorded at the Bitcoin Conference Asia in Hong Kong was released on Tuesday.
Regular access to financing has been crucial in enhancing SWC's profile as both a technology company and a Bitcoin-focused institution. Webley has expressed confidence in SWC's strategy for long-term growth, which includes an "ATM-like mechanism" in its subscription agreement. This mechanism allows SWC to issue additional shares after the completion of existing share placements, serving as a significant source of capital to support its goal of becoming one of the largest companies in the United Kingdom.
SWC is also set to welcome Laura Stanton-Hobbs as Executive Assistant, starting on Monday. Dr. Bitcoin MD described the current phase as "a new growth and acceleration stage," signalling an exciting time for the company.
