Chance for African Entrepreneurs to Excel at Estonia's Latitude59 Pitch Competition

Latitude59, Estonia's leading event for startups and technology, is set to return to Kenya for the second consecutive year. This time, the organisation is inviting early-stage startups from across the African continent to compete in its pitch competition.

The main Latitude59 event has offered a prize pool of EUR 1 million (approximately US$1.1 million) for the last two years. This significant non-equity financial support is aimed at fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among African startups.

Liisi Org, the CEO of Latitude59, has expressed her excitement over the growing talent pool of African startups. She believes that the continent is brimming with potential and is eager to see what innovative solutions African startups can bring to the table.

Among the crowd at last year's event were more than 900 startup enthusiasts and nearly 600 investors. The event attracted over 3,500 participants in total.

A special Latitude59 conference will take place in Nairobi, Kenya, before the main event. Applications for the pitch competition in Kenya are open until November 1. The winner of the regional round in Nairobi, Kenya, on November 28, will earn a spot to pitch at the main Latitude59 event.

Last year, African startups excelled in key industries such as green technology, financial technology, and clean technology. It is expected that this year's competition will yield similar results, showcasing the immense potential of African startups.

Latitude59 marked its 12th edition in May in Tallinn, Estonia. The event in Kenya is scheduled for December 3–5, 2025, but details about participating startups were not found in the available information.

Stay tuned for more updates on the Latitude59 conference in Kenya and the startups that will be competing for a chance to win a share of the EUR 1 million prize pool.
