In the early hours of Sunday, 7th September 2025, a 35-year-old individual caused a commotion in front of an apartment building on Weißenburger Straße, Altenhagen.
Residents of the area were awakened by the man's loud and aggressive behaviour, which disturbed the peace. The police were alerted around 2:20 AM.
Upon arrival, the officers approached the man, who was clearly intoxicated. Despite being put in handcuffs, he became aggressive and even challenged the officers to a fight in the patrol car.
The man continued to curse at the officers and caused further disturbance, even refusing to calm down. The police had to prevent him from physically assaulting passersby.
Due to his intoxicated state, the man was taken into custody and held in the holding cell until he sobered up. No new police action was reported beyond his detention and transport to the holding cell.
This incident serves as a reminder to respect the peace and quiet of residential areas, especially during the night. The police will continue to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the community.
