Charity auction for Toni Kroos' signed soccer kicker is being conducted by the city.
One-of-a-Kind Foosball Table Crafted for Toni Kroos Up for Auction
Football star Toni Kroos' visit to his hometown of Greifswald was marked by a special event - the unveiling of a unique foosball table. This table, now up for auction, is a testament to the city's love for sports and its famous son.
Crafted by the company Philipp Weitkamp Fairmittlung, a workshop for people with disabilities, the table is a work of art. It stands out with a design by Uwe Gildhorn and Jens Reich, featuring the Hanseatic colors blue and red, Greifswald landmarks like the Cathedral of St. Nicholas or the Eldena monastery ruins, and the inscription "Toni Kroos - Greifswald Native". The table, in the club colors red and white of Greifswalder FC, is made of high-quality woods such as beech and birch, and is in tournament size.
The table has seen some notable action. During Toni Kroos' visit, he played a game against Minister President Manuela Schwesig and Mayor Dr. Stefan Fassbinder on this very table. The table was also used during the presentation of the Order of Merit of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern on July 18, 20XX.
The proceeds from the auction will go to support children's and youth sports in Greifswald. Sports clubs can apply for the funds raised from mid-October. The auction ends on August 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM, and is taking place on www.zoll-auktion.de.
