Chelsea secured the signing of Alejandro Garnacho, leaving Nicolas Jackson dismayed following the collapse of a planned loan agreement.

In a surprising turn of events, Chelsea have recalled striker Nicolas Jackson from his imminent loan move to Bayern Munich. The decision comes after Chelsea striker Liam Delap sustained a serious hamstring injury in the club's 2-0 win over Fulham on August 30.

Nicolas Jackson, who was on the brink of joining Bayern Munich, was suddenly called back to London by Chelsea. The revocation of permission for Jackson's loan move was directly attributed to Delap's injury.

The injury has left Maresca, the Chelsea manager, concerned about having only one striker available, with Delap's injury expected to keep him out for multiple weeks. Maresca admitted that the situation caught him by surprise after the Fulham win.

Interestingly, Jackson, who was set to join Bayern Munich, is now expected to lead the line for Chelsea instead. The loan move, worth £13m, has collapsed, and both clubs are expected to revisit discussions in the coming days.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of Alejandro Garnacho. The 21-year-old Argentine winger has joined Chelsea for a fee of £40 million. Garnacho's arrival is being seen as a significant coup due to his age and long-term potential.

Garnacho, who made 144 appearances and scored 26 goals for Manchester United before joining Chelsea, expressed excitement about joining the world champions. His contract with Chelsea runs until 2032.

With Garnacho's arrival, Chelsea will face Bayern Munich in the Champions League on September 17. The 2025-2026 Premier League season is ongoing, and Chelsea will be looking to build on their strong start with their new signing.
