Chery Sets Up German Subsidiary Prior to Omoda and Jaecoo Launch
Chery to Debut Jaecoo 7 PHEV at IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich
Chinese automaker Chery is set to make a splash at the IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich with the unveiling of its first vehicle, the Jaecoo 7 PHEV. This marks the beginning of a series of introductions from the Omoda and Jaecoo brands, scheduled for the coming months.
In a strategic move, Chery has established Omoda & Jaecoo Deutschland GmbH in Frankfurt, Germany, with Xin Wu at the helm of the German branch. Xin Wu, who brings international experience in the automotive industry, will focus on sustainable mobility solutions, efficiency, and customer benefit.
Germany is a key market for Chery in its European expansion, and the company aims to strengthen its dealer relationships and accelerate product introductions during its local presence. The official market launch of the Jaecoo 7 PHEV in Germany is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025.
The Jaecoo 7 PHEV offers a combined range of up to 1,200 kilometers and can be operated in both hybrid and pure electric modes. Chery's focus on this model, as with its other introductions, is on meeting user requirements by designing vehicles that combine high energy efficiency with low emissions.
In addition to the Jaecoo 7 PHEV, further models from the Omoda and Jaecoo brands will be introduced in the coming months. Chery's intention is to enhance the customer experience through local presence in Germany and to expand its market presence in Europe.
The IAA Mobility 2025 will take place in Munich from September 9 to 14, providing an exciting opportunity for the public to witness the unveiling of the Jaecoo 7 PHEV and the start of Chery's European journey.
