Germany is in the process of securing contracts for the delivery of several thousand long-range drones to Ukraine, valued at 300 million euros. This move is aimed at bolstering Ukraine's defensive capabilities, which have been strained due to weapon shortages, particularly in air defense, as reported by a newspaper.

The shortages are reportedly a result of delayed deliveries from the USA following a review of military aid by the US Department of Defense, as reported by the "Financial Times". In an effort to fill this gap, Ukraine has received part of two complete Patriot systems from Germany, with President Volodymyr Zelensky calling for more air defense systems, especially on Patriot systems.

Germany and the United States have been supportive of Ukraine in this regard, with Germany significantly increasing its military aid and ordering additional Patriot missiles from the US. The US is the original producer of these missiles, and Germany is also building its own production line for Patriot missiles.

Meanwhile, the conflict in Ukraine has resulted in tragic civilian casualties. Russia is reported to have killed over 24 civilians in an air strike on the village of Yarova in the Donetsk region, with the death toll later rising to 24. Six residential buildings were also damaged in the attack on Sochi.

Russia is also building military-patriotic training camps called 'Voin' for children in occupied territories of Ukraine. In response, Finland has rejected territorial concessions to Russia.

On a positive note, the European Union Foreign Affairs Chief Kaja Kallas announced that European military aid to Ukraine will reach a record high this year, with €25 billion provided. Poland is also set to receive €43.7 billion from the European Union to strengthen its military.

In a recent incident, a fire broke out at an oil depot in the Russian border region of Belgorod after a drone attack, according to Russian authorities. The fire has since been extinguished, and some tanks have been damaged.

Lastly, the Ukrainian National Guard has destroyed over 100 ammunition depots at the front line in the past month, the Interior Ministry reported. Russian attacks in the past few hours have resulted in the deaths and injuries of many people in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Kherson regions, according to Ukrainian reports.

This ongoing conflict continues to pose significant challenges, but the international community's support for Ukraine remains unwavering.
