City Biathlon Competition Holds Initial Event in Marburger

The First Marburg City Biathlon is set to take place on Saturday, September 13, from 11 am to 6 pm, right in front of the Erwin-Piscator-Haus (EPH). This exciting event invites participants of all ages (12 and up) to join the Biathlon Germany Tour and experience the thrill of being a biathlete for a day.

Participants can register for both the individual and relay challenges on the day of the event at the info stand. For the individual challenge, two competitors face off from 11 am to 2 pm, with shooting taking place using original biathlon rifles equipped with infrared technology.

For the best participants in the individual challenge, prizes are available, including the opportunity to participate in the final of the best stages of all cities in March 2026. The winner of the individual challenge may also receive hotel accommodation, coaching by an Olympic champion Michael Roesch, and an invitation to the winner's party.

The relay challenge, beginning at 2 pm, offers prizes for the best relay team, the best student relay team, and the best club relay team. Commemorative medals will be given to all participants in the relay challenge. The registration deadline for the relay championship has been extended to Sunday, September 7.

Cross-country skiing will be done on so-called chest trainers, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. A practice shooting session is available for participants from 11 am to 2 pm.

Participation in both the individual and relay challenges is free, and no prior experience or knowledge is necessary. For those interested in staying updated on important information from the town hall and city life, signing up for the University City of Marburg's newsletter is a great option.

Please note that participation is at one's own risk. We encourage all participants to enjoy the event and embrace the spirit of the First Marburg City Biathlon. Get ready to experience the excitement and challenge of biathlon right in the heart of Marburg!
