City Center Combines Fall Bazaar with Craft Fair
On September 20, 2025, the city centre of Lünen will transform into an "Experience Mile" from 10 am to 6 pm, as the annual Herbstmarkt and Handwerks-Herbst events join forces. This combined celebration promises a diverse range of activities for the whole family, including live music, children's activities, and handcrafted challenges.
The Herbstmarkt, organised by the "WIR in Lünen" team, will showcase handmade arts and crafts, regional specialties, club offerings, and culinary delights in the pedestrian zone. Visitors can expect a vibrant atmosphere filled with the sights, sounds, and scents of autumn.
Parallel to the Herbstmarkt, the Handwerks-Herbst event will take place on Willy-Brandt-Platz. This collaboration between the city of Lünen, the Kreishandwerkerschaft Dortmund-Hagen-Lünen, and local craft businesses offers a unique opportunity to witness various trades in action.
One of the highlights of the Handwerks-Herbst event is the Handwerks-Duell for school classes. Students from grade 7 and above can participate in this competition, organised by the Kreishandwerkerschaft Dortmund-Hagen-Lünen and local craft businesses. The winning class will receive a cash prize of 1,000 euros for their class fund.
