City center merges autumn-themed market with craft market
On the 20th of September, 2025, the city centre of Lünen will be transformed into an "Experience Mile" as the Autumn Market and the Handicraft Autumn take place.
The Autumn Market, organised by the "WIR in Lünen" team of the city of Lünen, will see visitors experiencing various trades live. Exhibitors will showcase handmade arts and crafts, regional specialties, club offerings, and culinary delights. The Handicraft Autumn, a collaboration between the city of Lünen, the Dortmund-Hagen-Lünen Craftsmen's Association, and local craft businesses, will take place on Willy-Brandt-Platz. The event offers a wide range of activities for the whole family, including live music and children's activities.
For school students from grade 7 and up, the Handicraft Duels present an exciting opportunity. These challenges, taking place on Willy-Brandt-Platz from 1 pm to 4 pm, offer a chance to compete, and the winning class will receive a prize of 1,000 euros for their class fund.
The Handicraft Autumn also provides information about training and career opportunities in the craft sector.
The event on September 20 will take place from 10 am to 6 pm in the pedestrian zone. Registration for exhibitors at the Autumn Market is open until September 10, 2025.
