City center's upcoming waste disposal operation on Monday
On September 1, 2025, the city of Halle (Saale) will host the "Get Involved - Bag It" event, a community clean-up initiative aimed at maintaining a clean and eco-friendly city. The event will take place in the "Hallescher Osten" neighbourhood, with the meeting point being in front of the WELCOME-Treff, Geiststraße 58, 06108 Halle (Saale).
The "Get Involved - Bag It" event invites all residents and visitors to participate in the clean-up, with no registration required. Volunteers are welcome to join spontaneously. Participants are encouraged to bring their own gloves for the event, but trash bags and tongs will be provided. Children's work gloves will also be available at the event for younger participants.
The focus of the event will be on cleaning up the area around the Welcome-Treff and Geiststraße. The event will start at 5 PM local time.
In addition to the regular clean-up, the "Lucky Cork" action will also be supported during the event. White metal bottle caps collected during the event will benefit the Heinrich-Pera-Hospice. Those who wish to support the "Lucky Cork" action can simply collect and hand in their bottle caps at the "Get Involved - Bag It" event.
The "Get Involved - Bag It" event is organised by the Volunteer Agency, supported by the city of Halle (Saale), and funded by the Bürgerstiftung Halle. The initiative aims not only to clean the environment but also to raise awareness for a clean city.
