City Hall adorned once more with a vibrant display of summer blooms
In the charming town of Pforzheim, a vibrant transformation is underway. This summer, the city will be adorned with an array of flowers, as 51 colorfully planted balcony boxes and 54 additional plant pots and pyramids will grace the Enzauenpark, the square in front of the city museum, Turnstraße, the pedestrian zone, Waisenhausplatz, Leopold Square, and the city library.
The revitalization of the city's environment began last year when the Technical Services of Pforzheim resumed planting on the balcony railings of the New Town Hall. This ongoing effort has been warmly received by both the town hall employees and the local population.
The planting initiative on the balcony railings of the New Town Hall is not only aesthetically pleasing but also contributes to climate protection. To ensure optimal water supply, an automatic irrigation system has been installed. The planting is insect-friendly, with lamb's ear, lavender, and colorful snapdragons set to bloom in the six-story plant pyramids.
