City Speed Limit Regulations Enforced by UN in Urban Areas (Polish Context)
The Unna County Police Department has been actively enforcing speed limits in Schwerte, a town within its jurisdiction. On Sunday, 10th August 2025, speed checks were conducted on the Iserlohner Straße and Hölder Straße, resulting in 566 drivers exceeding the 50 km/h speed limit on the Hölder Straße. Three driving bans were issued, and 103 drivers will face a procedure for administrative offenses. One driver was issued a two-month driving ban, a fine of 600 euros, and two points on their license for driving at 117 km/h.
On the same day, 1953 vehicles were measured on the Hölder Straße between 13:40 and 17:40. The Unna County Police Department also conducted speed checks on the Unnaer Straße, where 172 drivers exceeded the 50 km/h speed limit.
Moving on to Wednesday, 13th August 2025, the focus shifted to the Unnaer Straße in Schwerte, where speed checks were conducted between 14:40 and 17:40. A total of 1216 vehicles were measured, and 17 drivers outside built-up areas will receive an administrative offense report. Additionally, 43 drivers outside built-up areas will receive a warning fine.
Unfortunately, no new driving bans were issued in this particular incident outside built-up areas in Schwerte. However, one driver was issued a one-month driving ban, a fine of 320 euros, and two points on their license for driving at 117 km/h in a 70 km/h zone. Between 18:10 and 21:05, a total of 713 vehicles were measured on a location outside built-up areas in Schwerte, where 60 speeding incidents were recorded.
