In the heart of summer, the city of Peine hosted a captivating summer vacation program for its children and youth. This year-long planned event, organised by the city youth welfare office, proved to be a resounding success, thanks to the collaborative efforts of various local associations.

The program offered a diverse range of activities, with approximately 40 different offers available throughout the vacation period. From sports and games to interactive workshops, there was something for everyone.

Prominent contributors to the program included the city library Peine, P3 Peine (Stadtwerke Peine), Uhlenflug Peine e.V., DLRG local group Peine e.V., MTB Eulenexpress (RSC Wanderlust Peine von 1890 e.V.), Kiwanis Club Peine, Minigolf Club Peine e.V., VFB Peine e.V., 1. Peiner Skateboardverein e.V., Sonja's Garden Werkerei, and Peiner Keglerverein von 1927 e.V.

The initial event, held at the outdoor pool of P3, was free for students and kicked off the program with a bang. Bouncy castles, surf simulators, water mats, football, mountain bike activities, craft and water action offers, glitter tattoos, and a cotton candy station were just a few of the activities that entertained the participants.

One of the highlights of the program was the one-week circus week, led by Circus Fun and the city youth welfare office. A grand final performance before a full audience concluded the circus week, with approximately 85 children showcasing their skills in air and ground acrobatics, magic, tightrope walking, juggling, and clowning.

Creative offers like "Magic of Light - Make your own lanterns" and "Mega Milkshakes homemade" were also included in the program, adding a touch of imagination and fun.

Despite not always ideal summer weather, almost all offers and activities could take place without restrictions and were well received. The mood was great, thanks to the committed team of the city youth welfare office and the participating associations and institutions.

The summer vacation program also included excursions to leisure and animal parks, museums, and sports activities. Many of these activities were quickly fully booked, demonstrating the program's popularity among the city's youth.

In conclusion, the summer vacation program in Peine was a resounding success, thanks to the collaborative efforts of local associations and the city youth welfare office. The city thanks all participating cooperation partners and volunteers for making this event a memorable one for the city's children and youth.
