Linea, an Ethereum-native zkEVM Layer 2 built by the ConsenSys team, has announced its highly anticipated airdrop. Here's a breakdown of the key details surrounding this exciting event.
The eligible wallets for the LINEA airdrop number over 749,000, according to the latest estimates. This airdrop is divided into two main systems: LXP Linea Voyage Points and LXP-L Linea Surge Points.
The snapshot date for the LINEA airdrop is set for July 30, 2025. Eligible participants will be able to claim their tokens during the claim window, which lasts from September 10 to December 9, 2025.
Boosts are available to increase rewards or tier, with Early Mainnet (activity before March 27, 2024) providing a +10% boost, Consistent Activity (being active for at least 6 months between August 2024 and June 2025) offering another +10% boost, and using MetaMask Features (Swap, Staking, Bridge, or Card) before June 30, 2025, providing yet another +10% boost.
For Liquidity Providers, the minimum requirement for LXP-L (Linea Surge Points) is 15,000 LXP-L, with a linear distribution and no cap per wallet. The reward tiers for the LXP Linea Voyage Points are defined, with Tier 1 requiring 2,000 LXP, Tier 2 requiring 3,000 LXP, and so on, up to Tier 7 requiring 8,000+ LXP.
To check LINEA airdrop eligibility, users are instructed to go to the official Linea Hub page and use the Airdrop Checker, then connect their Ethereum wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect, etc.). If eligible for the airdrop, the number of tokens and reward tier will be displayed on the screen. If not eligible, a message stating that the user does not qualify will be shown.
The LINEA airdrop is distributed by the Linea Association. Linea aims to add value back to Ethereum with an ETH burn mechanism and a deflationary LINEA token model. The total supply of LINEA tokens is 100 billion, with an airdrop allocation of 9.36 billion.
