On September 7th, a violent brawl erupted in Dortmund's North City, Lortzingstraße, involving at least six individuals, ranging from teenagers to a 27-year-old.

According to the Polizei Dortmund, the incident is currently being investigated as a case of mutual dangerous bodily harm. Two individuals, a 17-year-old who was taken to a hospital and another 17-year-old with minor injuries, were involved in the altercation.

During the brawl, a 27-year-old suspect, a Syrian national residing in Dortmund, is alleged to have used a knife, injuring the two individuals on their upper arms. Four other individuals involved in the brawl are Syrian nationals residing in Datteln, Lippetal, Hamm, and Soest.

The suspect was apprehended at a nearby fast-food restaurant, and the double-edged tanto knife he was carrying was recovered by police officers. First aid was administered using a tourniquet.
