Clutch late goal secures victory for OFC in their away match
In an exciting game at the Stadion am Bieberer Berg, OFC emerged victorious against FC 08 Homburg with a 2-1 win. The winning goal, scored by Arh Cesen in the 89th minute, brought the crowd to their feet.
The match started with a flurry of action, with Keanu Staude having a big chance in the 13th second, only for his shot to be saved by Dumrath, the Stuttgart goalkeeper. The visitors took the lead in the 19th minute, thanks to a deflected goal by Breitenbach, assisted by a cross from the same player.
However, OFC didn't let the setback deter them. They fought back passionately and managed to level the scores just before half-time, when Barry scored an unstoppable goal. The second half saw several opportunities for both teams, with Dumrath making several saves to prevent OFC goals.
In the 49th minute, Marcos cleared a ball off the line against Braig for OFC, keeping the scoreline level. The game was attended by 5,940 spectators, who witnessed a thrilling end to the match.
In added time of the first half, Staude had another opportunity, but once again, Dumrath came to the rescue for Stuttgart. The second half saw Stuttgart building up a lot of pressure, but OFC held firm, showing great resilience.
The winning goal came in the 89th minute, with Arh Cesen finding himself unmarked and slotting the ball home to give OFC the victory. This win sets up an exciting next home game for OFC, which will be against FC 08 Homburg once again. The game is scheduled for Friday at 7 pm at the Stadion am Bieberer Berg.
