In a thrilling display of offensive prowess, the University of Virginia outshone Coastal Carolina in a one-sided contest, securing a comfortable victory.

The first half was a dominating performance by Virginia, who led 28-0 at the break. Their total offense count for the first half stood at an impressive 361-86, thanks to two touchdown drives in the last three and a half minutes. The Cavaliers' scoring spree began with a 90-yard drive, culminating in a touchdown by J'Mari Taylor. The second drive, covering 80 yards, ended with another Taylor touchdown run.

Virginia's first score of the second quarter came on a 1-yard run by Harrison Waylee, extending their lead to 35-0. Coastal Carolina finally got on the board with an 8-yard touchdown run by Ja'Vin Simpkins, making it 35-7.

Despite Coastal Carolina's drive that consumed more than six minutes and covered 79 yards, resulting in their first touchdown, Virginia maintained their advantage.

Chandler Morris, a transfer from North Texas, made a significant impact in his first game for Virginia. He threw for two touchdowns, including a 29-yard connection with Cam Ross, who attended St. John's College High School in Washington, D.C., before his time at the University of Virginia. Ross also had a memorable day, scoring twice for Virginia, including a 100-yard kickoff return touchdown after Coastal Carolina's first score.

Morris completed 19 of 27 passes for 264 yards and led Virginia in rushing with 50 yards. Ross had 124 yards and a touchdown on seven catches, and Trell Harris had 93 yards on three receptions for Virginia.

Will Bettridge contributed to Virginia's points tally with field goals from 32 and 41 yards in the fourth quarter, taking the final score to 41-7 in favour of Virginia. The Chanticleers' starting quarterback MJ Morris went 20-for-36 for 163 yards and one interception.

The total offense count for the game was 454-254 in favour of Virginia, reflecting their dominance throughout the match. This impressive victory will undoubtedly boost the morale of the Virginia team as they continue their season.
