College Football Bracket Contest Introduced by ESPN
ESPN Launches College Football Playoff Bracket Challenge and Capital One Bowl Mania
Football fans, get ready for an exciting season! ESPN is bringing back two popular contests for the bowl season and the College Football Playoff – the College Football Playoff Bracket Challenge Presented by AT&T and Capital One Bowl Mania.
The College Football Playoff Bracket Challenge is based on the same technology as ESPN's Tournament Challenge. Fans can fill out brackets for the expanded playoff, predicting the outcomes of each game. The winner of the $25,000 prize will be the participant with the most accurate bracket after all the playoff games have concluded.
Meanwhile, ESPN Fantasy is launching Capital One Bowl Mania, which offers three contest modes: Standard, Spread, and Confidence. In the Standard mode, fans earn 10 points for each correct pick. The Spread mode requires fans to make picks against the point spread for each game, while in the Confidence mode, fans rank their picks and earn more points according to their level of confidence in each selection. Fans who win in any of the three contest modes can win $20,000 in prizes, with the runner-up receiving $15,000 and third place winning $10,000.
The College Football Playoff lineup consists of 12 teams, and the first-round game will be between No. 10 Indiana and No. 7 Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. The game will be broadcast on ABC and ESPN on Dec. 20 at 8 p.m. ET. Fans can submit up to two brackets before the first-ever CFP first-round game.
Both the College Football Playoff Bracket Challenge Presented by AT&T and Capital One Bowl Mania are free to play on ESPN.com, the ESPN App, and the ESPN Fantasy App. So, what are you waiting for? Start making your predictions and get ready for an exciting football season!
