At Holy Cross, the Delilahs, an all-girls acapella group founded in 1993, continue to captivate the campus community with their harmonious performances. On Saturday, they presented at the cocurricular extravaganza, showcasing their vocal talents to a wide audience.

One of the members, Sophie Robertson '25, is an avid fan of the group. Her favourite song is "Rich Girl" by Hall and Oates, and her favourite sports team is The Patriots. When asked about her favourite class, she remained coy, preferring to keep the spotlight on the Delilahs.

The Delilahs' leaders, Rea Nasif '24 and Mia Macdonald '24, aim to foster a strong bond with every member of the group. They strive to be "the kind of leaders that have a strong relationship with everyone." This community spirit is evident in the group's description as "awesome" and the girls as "best friends."

The Delilahs rehearse every Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday, ensuring their performances are polished and engaging. They have a regular gig at Cool Beans, performing every Monday at 10 pm.

Recently, the Delilahs put on impromptu performances at Kimball for "singing valentines." The tradition, which has been around for a while, involves serenading students with popular songs like Brittney Spears' "Toxic," Meghan Trainer's "Dear Future Husband," and Alicia Keys' "If I Ain't Got You." While these performances can potentially make some students uncomfortable due to being spotlighted, the Delilahs' aim is to bring joy and spread positivity.

Looking ahead, the Delilahs will hold auditions at the beginning of the upcoming Fall semester, giving new students the opportunity to join this vibrant and welcoming community. The group is currently managed by Allison McGrath '21 and Avery Faires '21, two seniors who are dedicated to nurturing the group's success.

Despite efforts to find out more about the person leading the Delilahs Acapella business in 2023, no information was available in the search results. However, the future of the Delilahs seems bright, with their strong leadership, dedicated members, and a commitment to their craft.
