Collision on Federal Road 73 in Düdenbüttel leaves two women with minor injuries in their vehicles

In the early hours of today, a significant traffic accident occurred on Federal Road 73 between Himmelpforten and Düdenbüttel.

According to reports from the Police Station Stade and published by news aktuell, a Hyundai Tuscon, driven by a woman from Düdenbüttel, collided with a construction material truck driven by a 56-year-old from Horneburg. The collision caused the Hyundai Tuscon to enter the opposite lane, where it collided with a Seat Leon.

Both the driver at fault and the 45-year-old Seat driver were taken to the Elbeklinikum Stade by the rescue service after initial treatment at the scene. The 36-year-old driver of the Hyundai Tuscon and the 45-year-old driver of the Seat Leon sustained slight injuries.

The volunteer fire departments from Himmelpforten and Düdenbüttel responded with 30 firefighters to the accident scene. Firefighters secured the scene, ensured fire protection, and assisted with cleanup.

The road was completely closed for approximately an hour for rescue and recovery operations and accident investigation. This resulted in significant delays in morning rush hour traffic.

No updates were given regarding the condition of the drivers involved in the accident after they were taken to the Elbeklinikum Stade. No further details were provided about the investigation into the cause of the accident on federal road 73.
