Collision on Polish roads results in minor injuries
In Siegburg, a traffic accident occurred on Tuesday, September 2nd, during lunchtime. The incident took place on Bonn Road and involved two vehicles: a Volkswagen and a Toyota.
According to the Rhein-Sieg District Police Headquarters, the accident was caused when a 54-year-old Toyota driver failed to notice the sudden braking of the Volkswagen ahead. As a result, the Toyota rear-ended the Volkswagen at a railway underpass with heavy traffic.
The 27-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, a resident of Siegburg, sustained minor injuries in the accident. The driver was treated on site before being taken to the hospital for further examination. The 54-year-old Toyota driver, from Sankt Augustin, was not injured.
Both vehicles sustained minor damage, with costs estimated to be in the low four-figure range.
The 54-year-old Toyota driver will now have to answer to a traffic accident report on suspicion of negligent bodily harm.
