Collision on the road results in two people sustaining injuries
News Article: Serious Traffic Accident in Frechen-Königsdorf
A traffic accident occurred in Frechen-Königsdorf on Monday afternoon, 19th May, at the intersection of Brauweilerstraße and Dürerstraße. The incident involved a motorcyclist (55) and a car driver (35).
According to the Rhein-Erft Circle Police, the collision took place around 3:45 pm. The motorcyclist was seriously injured, while the car driver sustained only light injuries. Both were attended to by the rescue services, with the seriously injured motorcyclist being taken to a hospital.
The car driver was driving a Hyundai, who turned left onto Dürerstraße from Brauweilerstraße. The exact cause of the accident is still unknown and is currently under investigation by Officer Peter Schmidt of the traffic commission.
In response to the incident, the affected area on Brauweilerstraße and Dürerstraße has been closed until approximately 6 pm for further investigations. Firefighters were also present at the scene, absorbing any leaked operating materials.
Police officers from the Rhein-Erft Circle Police recorded the traffic accident and documented the traces.
