Commencement of initial building phase for the Netto in Mittelbuchen set for September
In a significant development for the town of Mittelbuchen, plans have been announced for a new Netto-Market. The new construction, focusing on sustainable and resource-saving materials, is set to revolutionise local shopping experiences.
The old Netto-Market branch was closed in September 2024 due to static issues during routine inspections. Since then, a temporary tent sale with approximately 800 square meters of retail space has been providing continuous service, ensuring basic supplies for the town. This temporary arrangement will continue during the construction work on the new building.
The new market will boast a larger retail space, a customer parking area, and a bakery with a café. A key feature of the new construction will be a wooden module façade and a photovoltaic system on half of the roof area, furthering the commitment to sustainability.
The adjacent plot of land is being sold to the operator for the new construction, but the search results do not provide information about which company is making the purchase. The building permit procedure is likely to be completed in mid-2026, depending on the scope and content of incoming statements.
Citizens can view planning details and submit statements from September 1st on the website www.beteiligung.hanau.de. Hard copies of the documents will be available at the Technical City Hall at Hessen-Homburg-Platz 7, 2nd floor, room 2.33, during general opening hours. Submissions can be made at the same location or by email to [email protected].
Comments on the planning can be submitted to the city of Hanau in the city planning department from September 1st to September 30th. The display area can be accessed outside of general hours by appointment (Tel.: 06181 295 2135).
Thomas Nawrath, with the phone number 0171 6418342, has been designated as the press contact for this project.
It's worth noting that the Netto-Market in Mittelbuchen is crucial for local supplies, making this new construction an exciting development for the community. The new market is set to offer improved facilities and a more sustainable shopping experience, enhancing the town's retail offerings.
