On Sunday, August 3rd, 20XX, a flea market vendor in Cologne-Marsdorf was temporarily detained by officers from the Weiden police station. The incident, which involved the seizure of over 300 bottles of suspected counterfeit branded laundry detergent, has prompted the Cologne Police to issue a warning to the public.

The discovery of the suspicious sales stand was made by two employees of a detergent company around 10 a.m. on the same day. The vendor, a 36-year-old man who resides in Poland, was selling laundry detergent products of well-known brands at a significantly cheaper price than in retail stores.

The counterfeit laundry detergent was discovered at the flea market in Cologne-Marsdorf. The police patrol seized the suspected counterfeits and the vendor's daily earnings. The origin of the seized counterfeit laundry detergent products remains unclear.

The Criminal Investigation Department 33 has initiated investigations, suspecting a violation of trademark law. The name or identity of the suspect is not publicly disclosed. However, it is known that the suspicious products originate from overseas, often from countries with relaxed trademark enforcement.

The Cologne Police have issued a warning: "Caution - Fraud Risk!" They emphasize the risk of fraud when buying branded products at non-traditional retail outlets such as flea markets or from car trunks. Be cautious if the price of branded products seems too good to be true.

The investigations are ongoing, with the aim of identifying the source of the counterfeit laundry detergent products. The public is urged to exercise caution when purchasing branded products from unconventional retail outlets to avoid potential fraud and harm to their wallets.
