In a move that could potentially see a permanent transfer, 23-year-old forward Noah Weißhaupt has left SC Freiburg on loan to join Legia Warsaw, the Polish record champions who are also participating in the Conference League.

Weißhaupt, who has not played this season for SC Freiburg, has previously been loaned out to FC St. Pauli last season. The loan agreement between Weißhaupt and SC Freiburg allows him to join Legia Warsaw, with the Polish club reportedly securing a purchase option for the young forward.

Legia Warsaw's sporting director, Fredi Bobic, is involved in the transfer negotiations. Bobic, who took up the role of "Head of Football Operations" at Legia Warsaw in April 2025, is known for his keen eye for talent and strategic moves.

Weißhaupt, a forward, will join a team that is currently participating in both the Polish top-flight and the Conference League. The transfer of Weißhaupt to Legia Warsaw is expected to be finalized, and fans are eagerly awaiting his debut.

SC Freiburg, a Bundesliga side, will be hoping that the loan move will provide Weißhaupt with the game time he needs to further develop his skills and potentially return to the German side in the future.

As for Legia Warsaw, they will be hoping that Weißhaupt can help them in their quest for success in both the domestic league and the Conference League. With the Polish record champions securing a purchase option for Weißhaupt, it seems that they are confident in his abilities and see him as a key part of their future plans.

Weißhaupt's current age of 23 years old means that he still has plenty of time to develop and grow as a player. Fans of both SC Freiburg and Legia Warsaw will be keeping a close eye on his progress in the coming months.
