Company ASI® Recognized as One of the Top Employers in 2006
Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) Named One of the Best Places to Work in the Greater Philadelphia Area
The Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI), the largest media and marketing organization serving the advertising specialty industry, has once again been recognised as one of the best places to work in the Greater Philadelphia area. This prestigious accolade, presented by the Philadelphia Business Journal, was bestowed upon ASI for the second year in a row in 2006.
ASI's focus on creating a balanced work environment for its employees, with an emphasis on improving benefits and implementing unique programs, has been a key factor in its success. The company was one of seven companies selected in the large business category for the "Best Places to Work" in 2006.
The comprehensive employment benefits at ASI include recognition programs, an onsite dry cleaner, discounted auto insurance, a 401(k) plan, a profit-sharing program, tuition reimbursement, staff development programs, an employee assistance program, paid time off, and medical, dental, life, and disability insurances.
ASI also offers a daycare facility onsite or at a daycare center of the parent's choice, financial education seminars where over 200 employees have learned the basics of buying a home, doing their taxes, and planning for retirement, and a smoking cessation program. Sixty percent of the employees who attended the first smoking cessation program session have successfully stopped smoking.
Timothy M. Andrews, president of ASI, stated that the company prides itself on having a family-friendly environment and opportunities for personal and professional growth. Carol Albright, vice president for human resources at ASI, added that the company offers eight paid weeks of daycare for new parents.
ASI's success, according to Andrews, depends on the success of its employees. The company completed an application process, became nominated, and surpassed the requirement to become a finalist for the "Best Places to Work" by achieving an unusually-high 65% participation rate on a confidential employee third-party survey about working at ASI.
The available search results do not specify which company’s management received the "Best Places to Work" title in the Greater Philadelphia region in 2006. However, ASI's dedication to its employees and its commitment to creating a positive work environment are evident in the numerous benefits and programs it offers.
In addition to the extensive benefits, ASI also provides an onsite cafe and Starbucks coffee stand for its employees, making it a truly exceptional place to work.
