New Pickleball Court Opens in Euskirchen's Sports Facility on the Erft
Euskirchen, Germany - A new Pickleball court has been set up at the sports facility on the Erft, marking an exciting expansion to the city's sports offerings. The inauguration of the court was celebrated with a match between Mayor Sacha Reichelt and Markus Strauch, the head of the district sports association, under a sunny sky.
Pickleball, a trend sport similar to tennis, badminton, and table tennis, requires rackets and a net. The rules are designed to allow for a smooth game flow, making it accessible to players of all skill levels. The new court, which resembles a small tennis court, is now open for free use by all citizens.
"I hope many people will try out Pickleball after the inauguration game," said Mayor Reichelt.
The sports equipment rental system at the Erft sports facility is user-friendly and convenient. The sports box, which houses the Pickleball rackets and balls, can be reserved for free via a mobile app. During the reservation period, the sports box can be opened and closed as often as desired.
The TUS Weiden sports club supported the construction of the Pickleball facility at the Erft sports facility. This addition to the sports offerings in Euskirchen continues the city's commitment to providing various free opportunities for physical activities, including fitness, basketball, Frisbee golf, and more.
"The range of sports in Euskirchen continues to grow, providing more opportunities for its citizens," said Mayor Reichelt.
With the addition of Pickleball, the sports facility on the Erft now offers even more options for those who want to engage in sports and physical activities. The city of Euskirchen is eager to welcome new players to the Pickleball court and encourages everyone to give it a try.
