It's 7 PM at Emma No.1 on Bischofsweg, and the crowd is swelling as the line at Emma No.1 grows longer. Tonight, the Kraft Runners, a large German-speaking running community, meet weekly at this location.

The Kraft Runners, founded by Eugen Fink, began with just two people and have gradually grown over time. They meet every Wednesday at 7 PM, a time when runners gather in anticipation of the evening's run.

Erik and Maria, the ambassadors of the Dresden crew, welcome participants and announce the program. For the Kraft Runners, the focus is on intervals rather than social runs. They start their run towards Alaunstraße towards the Rosengarten.

Maria learned about the Kraft Runners through social media and a documentary about the "Speed Project". Erik discovered the community during the lockdown, also through social media. Both express a desire for the Kraft Runners to remain a cool, welcoming community. Their motto, "geil ballern", reflects this ethos.

Anyone who wants to join the Wednesday evening run is welcome, according to Erik. No membership is required to join the Kraft Runners. At the end of the run, there's always a drink for participants, encouraging support for local businesses.

The Kraft Runners also have a future goal of focusing on community events. Erik mentions a goal of organizing more events that focus on having a good time together, not just performance. Maria emphasizes the importance of an open, large community where everyone feels welcome.

As the runners set off, the crowd at Emma No.1 thins, but the energy remains. The Kraft Runners continue to grow, attracting runners who share their passion for the sport and their commitment to community.
