Conflict allegedly absent between Fadnavis and Shinde, according to Chandrashekhar Bawankule's statement.

In the political landscape of Maharashtra, there has been a flurry of meetings between key figures, sparking speculation about alliances and potential rifts. Let's clarify some of the recent developments.

On Saturday, Maharashtra Industries Minister Uday Samant of the Shiv Sena held a meeting with MNS President Raj Thackeray in Mumbai. Contrary to some rumours, the meeting was not political, as claimed by Samant himself. Instead, it was a gesture of thanks to Thackeray for attending the World Marathi Conference in Pune.

Chandrashekhar Bawankule, the BJP leader and Maharashtra BJP president, has also been active in these meetings. He has downplayed the speculation surrounding the meetings, stating that there is no rift in the Mahayuti alliance, but the opposition parties are trying to create a false image of one. Bawankule reiterated his friendly ties with Raj Thackeray and emphasised that the focus of the Mahayuti alliance is on fulfilling the promises made to the people.

Reports of a potential alliance between the BJP and the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena for the upcoming Mumbai civic polls have been circulating. However, during the meeting between Uday Samant and Raj Thackeray, no alliance possibilities were discussed.

Speculation about a rift between Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has been ongoing since Shinde had to step down as chief minister after the Mahayuti alliance's victory in the 2019 Assembly election. Bawankule dismissed these reports, stating that Shinde is committed to Hindutva and works to strengthen the Mahayuti alliance.

Interestingly, Eknath Shinde is also attempting to form an alliance with the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena. This move is seen as part of Shinde's party's efforts to gather support from other leaders.

It's worth noting that the BJP and Shiv Sena are likely to contest the BMC election separately.

In a separate development, the Calcutta High Court granted anticipatory bail to a TMC MLA and his aides. This fact is not directly related to the Maharashtra political situation and was not mentioned in the context of the other facts.

In conclusion, while there has been much speculation about alliances and rifts in Maharashtra politics, the meetings between key figures appear to be focused on resolving differences between Shiv Sena factions and strengthening the Mahayuti alliance. The focus remains on fulfilling the promises made to the people.
