Man Arrested for Attempted Murder at Cologne's Porz-Wahn S-Bahn Station

A 33-year-old man was left fighting for his life after a severe altercation at the Porz-Wahn S-Bahn station in Cologne on Monday, 21st July, at around 12:50 PM.

According to reports, the altercation took place in a nearby kiosk. The older man, a 35-year-old acquaintance, allegedly used a bottle as a weapon during the incident. CCTV footage from the kiosk revealed that the suspect repeatedly struck the already unconscious 33-year-old in the head.

The injury was life-threatening and resulted from a head trauma. Consequently, the victim was immediately transported to a hospital and underwent emergency surgery.

The suspect was taken into custody by a homicide unit on Thursday, 24th July. A judge issued an arrest warrant for attempted manslaughter against the suspect. However, the suspect's name has not been disclosed in the available sources.

The investigation into the incident continues, but the arrest related to this serious attack has been confirmed. The public is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
