Construction equipment from Liebherr, suitable for diverse applications
Liebherr Unveils Versatile L 506 Compact Wheel Loader at NordBau
Liebherr, a leading manufacturer in earthmoving and material handling equipment, showcased its new L 506 Compact Wheel Loader at the NordBau exhibition in Neumünster. This compact and versatile machine is designed to cater to various applications, including road and garden construction, civil engineering, deep foundation and engineering construction, municipal services, and rental fleets.
The L 506 Compact is equipped with a hydrostatic Liebherr drive system, which ensures smooth acceleration without shifting processes and power interruptions. This feature makes the loader ideal for tight spaces, as it offers a low rear swing radius of 1.6 m and front swing radius of 2.1 m. The compact and low design also results in a low center of gravity, allowing for high payloads and enhanced stability.
Another notable feature of the L 506 Compact is the hydraulic quick hitch LIKUFIX, which allows for tool changes at the push of a button from the cab. This not only increases efficiency but also ensures safety by reducing the need for manual operations.
The engine of the A 911 Compact, another offering from Liebherr, comes with an optional power output of 55 or 80 kW. It is equipped with an SCR system and turbocharger depending on the version. The robust undercarriage construction with integrated travel drive offers high tractive force acceleration, making it suitable for work in tight spaces.
Liebherr's remanufacturing program plays a significant role in reducing environmental impact and costs. Through this program, up to 78% of raw materials can be saved in internal combustion engines, reducing replacement part costs by up to 50%. The program offers three processing levels: exchange with already processed components, general overhaul, and repair.
In the realm of specialized deep foundation applications, Liebherr's assistance systems aim to increase safety and efficiency. The LRB 19 piling and drilling rig, designed for tasks in specialized deep foundation construction, is a testament to this. The LRB 19 system features a self-assembly system for ballast, which can be lifted by the LRB 19 crane, eliminating the need for an additional crane for assembly.
Moreover, the LRB 19's hydraulic quick-change system allows various attachments to be changed without tools and without leaving the cab, further increasing efficiency and safety. The high-frequency vibrator LV 23, mounted on the carrier equipment of the LRB series using a quick-change system, is another tool designed to enhance productivity in deep foundation construction.
The cab of the A 911 Compact offers space for driver-specific adjustment of the control elements and is equipped with the standard-equipped INTUSI (Intuitive User Interface) operating system. This design aims to facilitate more concentrated and fatigue-free work, with generous glass areas ensuring all-around visibility.
The L 506 Compact's Speeder variant can reach a maximum speed of up to 30 km/h, making it a powerful performer in construction sites. The cab design and the hydrostatic drive system, along with the various attachments and assistance systems, make the L 506 Compact a versatile and efficient choice for a wide range of construction needs.
