Construction financing for 40 MW wind farm development advised by our website, a project undertaken by PKO Bank Polski and sponsored by OX2.

In the heart of Poland, the Annopol I wind farm, located in the Goscieradow municipality, Lubelskie Voivodship, has recently been completed. Sponsored by OX2, the wind farm boasts a total capacity of 40 MW, contributing to a more sustainable society in the region.

OX2, an international independent power producer, has been at the helm of this project, specialising in onshore and offshore wind, solar PV, and energy storage projects. The Annopol I wind farm financing is one of the projects in OX2's portfolio, spanning nine markets worldwide.

The financing for the Annopol I wind farm was facilitated by PKO Bank Polski, with global law firm X providing advice on the EUR 90 million deal. However, the specific team members from the law firm who led the project have yet to be disclosed.

The legal aspects of the project were handled by a multidisciplinary team from the law firm. Tomasz Rogalski, the finance workstream leader, was assisted by associates Karolina Lepakiewicz, Antoni Krzyżanowski, and Jakub Wiatrzyk. The legal due diligence workstream was led by counsel Cezary Zawiślak, with associates Martyna Orłowska, Nina Strzelczyk, and Mikołaj Rydzewski contributing to the process.

From Kromann Reumert, partner Kumaran Thavarajah and associate Markus Ulrik Leding provided Danish law advice for the project. Partner Arturo Sferruzza, senior associate Igor Kondratowicz-Laderski, and lawyer Regan Eastwood from the Milan office advised on English law aspects of the project. Counsel Krzysztof Gorzelak and lawyer Antoni Krzyżanowski advised on the hedging aspects of the project.

The Annopol I wind farm project involved various financing facilities and a complex, multi-jurisdictional structure. Despite these challenges, the project was completed under a demanding timeline, demonstrating the effectiveness of close cooperation between the bank, sponsors, and legal advisors in making ambitious renewable energy investments a reality.

OX2 has been accelerating the energy transition since 2004, and today, its project portfolio totals 25,526 MW in various stages of development. The successful completion of the Annopol I wind farm project is a testament to OX2's commitment to a sustainable future.
