Construction of the Moritz-Lang-House in Dotzheim is underway
The Press Office of the State Capital Wiesbaden has announced that the previous Moritz-Lang House no longer meets today's care standards and structural requirements. The city is eagerly awaiting the completion of the new Moritz-Lang House, scheduled for fall 2026.
Great progress has been made since the groundbreaking, and the shell of the new building gives a hint that patience and commitment have paid off. The new Moritz-Lang House will continue to accommodate 104 care places, providing a home with heart, intelligence, and modern equipment, unique in Wiesbaden.
Mayor Gert-Uwe Mende described the new Moritz-Lang House as a "home with heart, intelligence, and modern equipment," during the topping-out ceremony. He, along with Social Affairs Director Dr. Patricia Becher, thanked WiBau and all involved in the construction of the Moritz-Lang House.
Dr. Becher emphasized the importance of caring for the elderly, stating that it involves more than professional care; it also means security, attention, and a home. She highlighted that something needed to be done, and it needed to be done quickly.
The builder of the new Moritz-Lang House, Uwe Ortseifen, the managing director associated with the project, was also present at the topping-out ceremony. The city of Wiesbaden is looking forward to the further course of construction of the Moritz-Lang House.
The new Moritz-Lang House is being constructed to enhance the care landscape in Wiesbaden. No new information regarding the timeline for meeting today's care standards or structural requirements was provided. However, the festive opening of the new Moritz-Lang House is anticipated in 2026, as stated by Mayor Mende.
