Córdoba CF protests Video Assistant Referee decision following Valladolid game: "Scandalous"

In the city of Cordoba, the local football club found themselves embroiled in controversy after a draw against Real Valladolid. Ivan Ania, the coach of Cordoba, expressed his discontent with the refereeing decisions, particularly after a goal by Jacobo was annulled by the VAR due to a previous hand.

Juan Gutierrez, the sporting director of Cordoba, took to Twitter to voice his displeasure, highlighting the inconsistency in decisions regarding handballs. He compared a handball in Gijon that was not called directly, and one against Valladolid that was, pointing out the difference in opinions that have harmed the team.

Antonio Fernandez Monterrubio, the CEO of a caliphate entity and a prominent figure in Cordoba, publicly expressed his displeasure about the VAR's action. He went so far as to accuse the referee of being told what to whistle during the match against Real Valladolid. Fernandez Monterrubio also believes that the VAR has influenced the sporting result in three matches.

On Monday, a written complaint was presented by Fernandez Monterrubio, detailing his concerns about the refereeing and the VAR. However, the available search results do not contain information on who filed a complaint against the referee's decision on the Monday after the game against Real Valladolid.

As for the game itself, a goal by Jacobo put Real Valladolid ahead, but Cordoba managed to fight back and secure a draw. The controversy surrounding the refereeing decisions, however, has cast a shadow over the result.
