CORRECTIV Unveils Citizen-Centered Reporting Playbook for NRW Local Elections
CORRECTIV has developed a comprehensive playbook for citizen-centered reporting, set to debut at the b future festival in Bonn this October. The guide, based on the US model Citizen's Agenda, is tailored for local elections in NRW and offers a wealth of resources for journalists.
The playbook, available for free download, walks reporters through an eight-step process to engage communities and cover local elections effectively. It includes templates, tips, and tools, along with technical support via beabee and the CrowdNewsroom platform.
Anping Richter, chief reporter of the Stader Tageblatt, has already seen success with the 'Your voice, your topics' concept, demonstrating the playbook's practicality. CORRECTIV's open technology approach enables other journalistic initiatives to benefit from their tools, fostering innovation in journalism through collaborative projects like CrowdNewsroom and beabee.
The playbook, developed with input from independent local editorial teams, is a valuable resource for journalists covering local elections. With its first presentation at the b future festival, it aims to empower journalists to engage communities and deliver impactful reporting.
