Crash on the Ittertal road: Peugeot smashes into garage and stationary vehicles
In the heart of Solingen, Germany, a traffic accident on Sunday evening caused quite a commotion on the Itter Valley Road.
At approximately 7:50 PM, an 18-year-old man lost control of his Peugeot vehicle, resulting in a multi-vehicle collision and property damage near the Obenitter Street junction.
The incident involved three people in the car, two of whom sustained minor injuries and were taken to the hospital. The third person appeared uninjured but was in shock.
Residents of the area, alerted by the sound of a loud impact and the sight of smoke and screeching tires, rushed outside and promptly contacted emergency services.
Several ambulances, a paramedic, and police officers arrived at the scene to assess the situation and provide assistance. Many passersby also stopped to watch the extensive work of the firefighters and police.
The Peugeot crashed into a garage wall, spun around, and hit several parked cars. The accident caused substantial property damage, with the Peugeot and the garage being severely damaged, as were the parked vehicles.
Firefighters arrived in large numbers at the scene to manage the aftermath of the accident. The Itter Valley Road was completely closed for rescue and recovery operations, which took about an hour to complete.
The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation. Police estimate the property damage to be substantial. The driver of the Peugeot had his driver's license confiscated at the scene.
