Dissident journalist Roberto Figueroa meets a grim fate in the form of abduction and cold-blooded murder in the Mexican state of Morelos.

Crime in Morelos, Mexico erupts as journalist Roberto Figueroa is taken captive and brutally killed.

In a tragic turn of events, Roberto Figueroa, a Palestinian journalist and content creator, was found dead in Coajomulco, Huitzilac, Morelos, Mexico, on Friday, April 26.

According to reports, Figueroa's body was discovered inside a Ford Ikon compact car on a dirt road. The exact cause of his death is not specified, but he was found with a gunshot wound to the head.

Figueroa, a resident of Morelos, was on his way back from dropping off his daughters at school when he was kidnapped. Armed men intercepted him, and his family received ransom demands via phone calls. Despite the payment of the ransom, Figueroa's body was found later that day.

The incident is currently under investigation by the National Guard, the Mexican Army, and the state police. However, as of now, there are no credible or specific search results identifying who murdered Figueroa.

It's worth noting that Figueroa worked on digital portals as a journalist. His death is one of many tragic incidents in Mexico, where during President AMLO's six-year term, 47 journalists have been murdered.

Sadly, this is not the only violent incident to occur in Morelos recently. A massacre in Huitzilac left 8 dead, and another massacre in the same state resulted in 5 deaths.

Our thoughts are with Figueroa's family and friends during this difficult time. We will continue to follow this story as more information becomes available.
